Android, BlackBerry, Symbian Join iPhone, Windows Mobile as Supported Platforms
PLEASANTON, Calif.–Zoho today announced Zoho Mobile, which expands the company’s initial mobile support for the iPhone to include the Android, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and Symbian mobile platforms. Now, users can access Zoho’s on-line collaborative productivity applications from any of these mobile devices. “Mobility is an important aspect for on-line applications like Zoho. With Zoho Mobile, we want to provide access to your data on your preferred mobile device,” said Raju Vegesna, Zoho evangelist. “All our current and future mobile initiatives will be available under Zoho Mobile as we expand mobile support for all our upcoming applications.”
Zoho Mobile
With Zoho Mobile, the company builds upon the mobile offerings rolled out under Zoho for iPhone and in Windows Mobile offerings. Now, all Zoho Mobile applications for all platforms can be accessed from http://mobile.zoho.com/. Unified by a consistent user interface and common feature set across all platforms, the applications include:
- Zoho Mail
- Zoho Calendar
- Zoho Writer
- Zoho Sheet
- Zoho Show
- Zoho Creator
Currently, Zoho Mobile lets users view their Zoho Writer, Zoho Sheet, and Zoho Show files. Users can also view, compose, and send email via Zoho Mail and access their Zoho Creator applications. Going forward, the company plans to expand both the feature functionality and the portfolio of Zoho applications available in Zoho Mobile.
Zoho Mobile is localized and is currently available in Japanese. Zoho plans to expand the support for other languages soon.
