Companies that use both QuickBooks Online and Salesforce Service Cloud can now integrate the two systems.
- There are two immediate benefits of this:
- One is for companies where customers pay for a support contract—support teams can now see if the customer is up to date on their service contract payments.
- The other is for any company where customers file support cases regarding their payment status or their invoices. Rather than support cases having to be shunted between departments, adding touch points and delays, support reps can provide a one-and-done resolution to billing, payment, and invoice enquiries.
The ability to connect QuickBooks Online to Salesforce is provided by Breadwinner.
By connecting the two systems, all Invoices, Payments, and Credit Notes in QuickBooks Online are copied over to Salesforce and kept up to date by Breadwinner. Syncing occurs hourly, so reps are looking at near-live data. Reps can also re-issue PDF invoices, and answer questions about whether finance has received payments.
Breadwinner includes a level of security so that customer support reps are limited to accessing all QuickBooks Online data as read-only. And, this data is strictly limited to Accounts Receivables, so more confidential company data is also hidden from reps. And, by using Salesforce Profiles and security, further security can be enabled, for instance hiding the payment amount and only showing the payment dates.
