SEO for Salesforce 2.0 brings SEO automation capabilities to the popular Salesforce CRM, allowing users to discover the ROI from their SEO efforts
Evidence-based marketing company DemandResults has released a new product video for SEO for Salesforce 2.0, an SEO automation app that enables marketers to improve performance with revenue-based SEO strategies. SEO for Salesforce is the first SEO app that works seamlessly within the Salesforce.com CRM, where many companies already keep their sales data.
Until now, most SEOs have relied on a variety of soft success metrics, including traffic, keyword rankings and leads from organic search. The video demonstrates how SEO for Salesforce makes it possible to track revenue and sales from organic search, which is the Holy Grail for search marketers. SEO for Salesforce analyzes sites and site pages, identifies which keywords generate the most revenue and suggests pages where that optimization should occur. Results – in the form of revenue, opportunities, leads and keyword rankings – are then tracked in full-color dashboards.
“Most execs want to know whether SEO is a revenue center or a cost center,” said Howard Brown, Founder & CEO of DemandResults. “At the same time, most marketers want as much data as possible so that they can spend their energy on projects that truly perform. We believe SEO for Salesforce exceeds expectations for both groups.”
Version 2.0 is slated for release in Q3.
Unlike the first release, which appeared in late 2009 as a free app that left most of the reports & dashboard configuration to marketers, the new version will offer a bevy of automated capabilities right out of the box. After downloading the app, marketers begin by conducting an audit of a Web page or an entire site. The audit wizard pulls data in from a variety of sources, including Google Analytics, Facebook, Google AdWords and Bing. The app then makes a number of detailed recommendations for improvement and Marketers can manage SEO tasks and projects right within Salesforce.com. SEO for Salesforce will send reminders via Chatter when tasks are nearing their due dates. Even if marketers don’t take advantage of the app’s project-based features, they can still track revenue, opportunities, leads and keyword rankings and see results in graphical dashboards.
