TripIt recently signed an agreement to be acquired by Concur (Nasdaq: CNQR) in a $120 million transaction.

Redmond-based Concur is a company providing integrated expense and travel management solutions, and the company have been TripIt users and fans for a long time.

At the time of this writing, TripIt will remain free, and TripIt Pro will still be available as a subscription.

Concur Japan

On Wednesday, Concur also reported it has opened up a new joint venture in Tokyo, Japan.  The new venture, Concur Japan, will be led by Shigeru Fujii, and is a joint venture with SunBridge Corporation.

Financial arrangements of the joint venture were not announced, however, Concur said the joint venture is with SunBridge Corporation, the joint venture partner of Salesforce.com, as well as Marc Benioff.

Salesforce.com has been on a shopping spree with the recent acquisitions of Heroku, DimDim and Etacts.
