This week the sixth annual Cloud World Forum in London, UK, successfully brought together EMEA’s IT world and management to further enterprise cloud migration. Challenges & solutions as well as latest innovation & trends in cloud computing were shared by 300+ speakers from 74 countries and a crowd of 8,000 international IT professionals and business leaders. Cloud World Forum, a place to meet, be inspired, buy, learn, and share.
The conference leaped forward from last year, when the focus was on cloud roadblocks. This year’s emphasis was on cloud success stories.
As cloud computing puts IT purchasing decisions in the hands of non-IT company chiefs, the forum and vendors shifted focus and language from server racks and APIs towards business transformation and cloud-enabled marketing possibilities. I felt like a kid in a candy shop at the fair this year (Pun intended; candy was the most popular swag at the expo hall!).
