Telus Achieves 280% ROI with On-Demand Salesforce CRM Deployment
November 17, 2008
Top Canadian telecommunications company increases sales performance and reduces cost with full payback in just four months
BOSTON — Nucleus Research analysts have independently examined the deployment of Salesforce CRM solutions at Telus Corporation to find a rapid return on investment (ROI) of 280% in four months time.
Telus is a leading national telecommunications company in Canada with 11.2 million customer connections and provides a wide range of communications products and services including data, Internet protocol (IP), voice, entertainment and video. As Telus outgrew its contact management system, it explored a more global, centralized approach to both sales and support to be able to best serve its customers and forecast future opportunities. After reviewing several leading on-premise CRM solutions, as well as a number of on-demand options, Telus selected Salesforce CRM.
Salesforce CRM provided Telus with a highly flexible CRM system that supports its distributed teams with a common view of customers and pipelines across the company. This has resulted in better, more efficient customer service leading to higher sales. Additionally, the Salesforce CRM solution has lowered marketing costs, reduced employee turnover and boosted manager productivity.
“Telus is an excellent example of the quantum-leap effect companies can experience with a strategic IT upgrade. Starting with an antiquated contact management solution, Telus has built a highly effective CRM solution that improves customer service, sales and bottom-line profitability,” said Rebecca Wettemann, VP of Research, Nucleus Research.
