Market Leading ISV Manages Networks, Servers and Applications With Open Source IT Management Solution
ANNAPOLIS, MD–(April 16, 2008) - Zenoss Inc., a leading provider of commercial open source network, systems and applications management software, today announced that SugarCRM, the world’s leading provider of commercial open source customer relationship management (CRM) software, has deployed Zenoss for Service Providers to monitor and manage its end-to-end Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering, including networks, servers and end-user application performance through synthetic transactions.
“We evaluated the leading IT management solutions in the market and concluded that Zenoss offered the best combination of functionality, price and flexibility,” said Lila Tretikov, CIO of SugarCRM. “With Zenoss, we’re able to monitor and manage our entire hosted service offering through a single solution. Because it is commercial open source, it’s much more affordable than proprietary solutions and gives us the control to develop specific value-added capabilities for our customers.”
SugarCRM delivers its CRM solutions to customers in several ways including SaaS, on-premise and appliance-based. Under its SaaS model, SugarCRM maintains instances of its application on networks and servers within enterprise-class data centers. Because its application is so important to the day-to-day operations of its customers, SugarCRM commits to high levels of application performance and uptime. In order to meet its service level agreements (SLAs) across a rapidly expanding customer base, SugarCRM selected Zenoss as its enterprise IT management solution.
Zenoss proactively alerts SugarCRM IT management personnel of potential issues based upon performance trends or outages and helps them to isolate root causes via a consolidated event console. SugarCRM personnel then remediate issues, typically before customers experience any service impact.
“We know first-hand the unique challenges service providers face,” said Bill Karpovich, Zenoss CEO and Co-Founder. “Zenoss for Service Providers is a new alternative that provides the right combination of functionality, flexibility and economics.”
