RALEIGH, N.C. — SplendidCRM Software, Inc., a pioneering provider of Microsoft-centric Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions for open-source use, today announced the launch of Version 3.0 of its flagship platform SplendidCRM. The release of Version 3.0 marks a milestone as it introduces the SplendidCRM Workflow Engine as a flagship feature in the new SplendidCRM Enterprise product. “For many companies, workflow is a critical feature and we are pleased to be able to tightly integrate SplendidCRM with Microsoft Windows Workflow Foundation,” said Paul Rony, President of SplendidCRM.
A SplendidCRM workflow is a series of actions or alerts that is triggered by an event. For example, when a potential customer submits a request on a retail website, the sales manager may want to alert the sales team about the new prospect. And, a week later, a sales representative may want to follow up with the customer by email to determine if the needs were satisfied.
With Version 3.0, SplendidCRM is expanding its product line to include a Community Edition, a Full-Featured Edition, a Professional Edition and an Enterprise Edition. The Community Edition provides core CRM features for free. The Full and Professional Editions add advanced CRM features, such as reporting and order management. The Enterprise Edition includes the advanced features and adds the workflow engine. SplendidCRM Community Edition is free, SplendidCRM Full-Featured Edition is $100/user, SplendidCRM Professional Edition is $200/user and SplendidCRM Edition Enterprise is $300/user.
Version 3.0 also marks a major shift in SplendidCRM’s licensing strategy, as we adopt the industry-standard dual-license approach to commercial open-source. “While we will continue to offer our Community Edition product under the SugarCRM Public License, the Full Featured, Professional and Enterprise Editions are all available under commercial licenses,” said Rony. “This shift in licensing should allow us to better compete with larger CRM companies in the market space.”
