Report – United Nations May Choose SAP for ERP system

The United Nations has confirmed reports of negotiating a deal with to SAP for their ERP system.
According to a German paper last Wednesday, the deal may be worth $300M USD from the Walldorf, Germany-based software vendor. The contract had not yet been finalized.
This is one of the largest public-sector deployments to date, if it becomes official.
SAP is common in both private sector and public sector.
In the USA, one of the largest public sector implementations include the Department of Homeland Security and the US Customs and Border Protection agency.
Another public sector implementation include the USA Army’s The Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), as it boasts one of the largest and most comprehensive business transformation and technological modernization efforts in existence.
