Jamcracker, Zoho in Partnership to Offer On-Demand Business Applications to Telecomm and Service Providers

It’s hard to believe Jamcracker is still around. I used their services in 2001-2002 to outsource my Microsoft Exchange hosting services as well as iPass remote dialup for all my corporate laptop users.

When the dot com meltdown hit full speed by 2003, I was certain Jamcracker (among hundreds of other companies) would not survive. After all, it was Charles Darwin (or Herbert Spencer to be precise) at its best: Survival of the Fittest. Fiscal fittest, that is.

But they proved me wrong and they are still going strong 5 years later.

Jamcracker, Zoho in Partnership to Offer On-Demand Business Applications to Telecomm and Service Providers

Award-Winning Zoho Online Applications Available for Resale through Jamcracker Services Delivery Network

SANTA CLARA & PLEASANTON, Calif.–Jamcracker, the on-demand services delivery company, and Zoho, today announced a strategic partnership to provide communications and IT service providers with a comprehensive suite of affordable, online business applications for resale to their customers. Effective immediately, the companies are offering award-winning products such as Zoho Business, Zoho CRM, Zoho Meeting, and Zoho Projects through the Jamcracker Services Delivery Network (JSDN). Zoho and Jamcracker plan to expand the number of available services in the coming months.

From the JSDN, Zoho applications can be sold as standalone services or bundled with other third party services in the Jamcracker catalogue, such as outsourced desktop management, data backup, etc., and offered alongside traditional voice and data Telco services to create customized small business solutions.

Zoho + Jamcracker = Increased Service Provider Revenues

The JSDN, which provides a front and back-end services delivery infrastructure, billing and settlement, as well as customer administration and support for services available from the Jamcracker catalogue, makes it easy for service providers and resellers to offer Zoho on-demand applications to their customers. The following Zoho applications are available on the JSDN:

Zoho Projects

An easy-to-use, yet powerful tool to manage projects online, including tasks, project milestones, group calendaring, time management and reporting, as well as group discussion through forums.

Thanks for the post. Since you quoted Darwin, I’ll respond by paraphrasing Mark Twain, “Rumors of Jamcracker’s demise have been greatly exaggerated…”

Many good companies did get caught up in the melt-down of ‘03. Thankfully Jamcracker managed to survive, and business has never been better.

Business model is slightly different in that we now offer our aggregated services delivery entirely thru channels, which now include many of the world’s largest carriers as well as hundreds of VARs and MSPs.

    Thanks,
    Steve
