So we only present news and opinionated commentary as we see it happen live on cybespace and in our research labs.

So, yesterday when I wrote about Facebook CRM via Microsoft Dynamics CRM technology, in all fairness, Microsoft Dynamics isn’t the only player in town to integrate with Facebook.

Facebook is certainly making inroads in the business markets.

I, personally, prefer LinkedIn for my business contacts.

Introducing Faceforce.

If you are a user of Salesforce.com, you can pull information from Facebook using AppExchange.

From their website, they describe it as follows:

“Faceforce Connector for the AppExchange complements traditional CRM data with dynamically updated personal data and photos.

The seamless integration pulls critical Facebook profile information into your Salesforce Account, Lead, and Contact records in real time, providing you with an instant 360 degree view of customers, prospects, and business associates.”

With all the shenanigans and hooligans on Facebook, the first thing I’ll want to investigate are the security features!

A demo if this integration can be found here.

Please post your comments below for those who have implemented this.

  1. I can see the advantages of Faceforge, however I do not understand which facebook account of the company is connected to the salesforce account and which “friend” should really get connected to the various people shown in the demo flash video!? Or is it the personal facebook account of the sales representative using salesforce and faceforge that gets connected? Personally I am wondering whether I really want to use Facebook as a business or marketing network in the future or if I rather keep my Facebook stricty private. Thoughts on that?

    Thanks
